WH gets WaPo to write hit piece..

Well, now I am certain that the WH knew about the ATF gun running program that is now turning into a major liability for not just the Obamanites at the ATF & the DOJ, but seems to be pointing all the way to the WH. How you ask? Well, this WaPO hit piece, which I should mention was shopped to every MSM donkey mouth piece by the WH without anyone other than the WaPo biting – and that’s because this is a bullshit attempt to deflect that is too easy to take down – but only published by these two WaPo twerps. What’s the hit job you ask?

A chief Republican critic of a controversial U.S. anti-gun-trafficking operation was briefed on ATF’s “Fast and Furious” program last year and did not express any opposition, sources familiar with the classified briefing said Tuesday.

Rep. Darrell Issa (Calif.), who has repeatedly called for top Justice Department officials to be held accountable for the now-defunct operation, was given highly specific information about it at an April 2010 briefing, the sources said. Members of his staff also attended the session, which Issa and two other Republican congressmen had requested.

This ludicrous claim that congress, and specifically Issa, the guy doing the heavy lifting to get us the truth about this scandalous thing, was briefed. That mind you, while the DOJ and everyone else in this administration, still pretends they never heard of the operation. But somehow congress was briefed? By who? Anyway, the sad fact is that the bullshit that this hit piece is trying to sell was already debunked by this WJS article last week:

“All of the things [Issa] has been screaming about, he was briefed on,’’ said one source familiar with the session. Frederick R. Hill, a spokesman for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which Issa chairs, acknowledged on Tuesday that an ATF briefing on “weapons smuggling by criminal cartels” took place in April 2010 but declined to specify what Issa or his staff were told.

He accused “opponents” of the committee’s investigation of the gun-trafficking operation of “incredulously trying to assert that Obama administration political appointees at the Justice Department were ignorant — yet Congress was in the know on the details of Operation Fast and Furious.’’

“This irresponsible and false accusation is indicative of a Justice Department bereft of leadership and rattled by the revelations of its own misconduct,’’ Hill added.

They are getting desperate. Real desperate. I am starting to wonder what they promised Melson to throw himself under the bus. That or they have pictures of him with a little boy or dead girl. I also saw a awesome description of what this operation was all about going on here at Say Uncle:

Seen on facebook: Imagine the DEA telling pharmacists to illegally sell oxycontin to known drug dealers or they would be shut down. Then imagine the DEA using the fact that more oxycontin was on the street (and hundreds of overdose deaths) as a pretext for making it harder for patients to get prescribed narcotics. This is essentially what happened with the ATF and Project Gunwalker

Stay tuned people. This is going to go ugly for these people. They were up to no good, and they are scared now. This desperation is going to make them make mistakes. Then maybe we will get to the truth…

So Issa knew about the program in-depth, but Obama didn’t? Sure.

You don’t think that neither was properly briefed? I totally believe Issa when he says that he didn’t know. EVEN if it turns out that there was some kind of procedural briefing involved.

I’m pretty sure the briefing(s) didn’t go something like this.:)

“Good day sir. Welcome to this briefing. Let me present to you a major cluster fuck of an operation.”

Not only didn’t Obama know, but neither did Holder or any democrat up and down the chain of command, at least they didn’t according to the last batch of excuse making to distance themselves from this thing, but Issa the HYPOCRITE did! That’s what these rubes want us all to believe…. It’s not going over well. Keep their feet to the fire I say.

I am sure that if they had briefed any republican, and especially Issa, about the details of this fiasco, that they would have killed it immediately by accusing those pushing this of having ulterior motives and running an operation that served no other purpose but to give the MSM more “evil US guns are too easy to get” stories, Kimpost. In fact, they would have immeidately demanded to know what the roles of the DOJ and the WH was in something this dumb. So if there was a briefing, they kept the details hidden or lied about the purpose. I bet it was both.

Either Holder, is not doing his job at all, or he was inon it, one way or another he should get a full dressing down on this.

Im convinced holder and a few top echelon justice department officials had to know about this.
